Sorena VPN ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Sorena VPN application and website (sorena.link).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide:
- Email address — only if you choose to bind your email for invite rewards. This is optional.
- Feedback content — when you submit feedback, we collect the issue type and description you provide.
1.2 Information collected automatically:
- Device identifier (UUID) — a randomly generated unique ID stored locally on your device for account identification. We do not collect your real device serial number or IMEI.
- Basic device info — OS version, app version, and network type (only when submitting feedback, to help troubleshoot issues).
- Connection metadata — timestamps of connections, selected server region, and traffic usage (in bytes). This is necessary for quota management.
1.3 Information we do NOT collect:
- We do NOT log your browsing history, DNS queries, or destination IP addresses.
- We do NOT monitor, record, or store the content of your internet traffic.
- We do NOT collect your real name, phone number, or payment information.
- We do NOT sell or share your personal data with any third party for advertising purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the VPN service — connect you to our servers, manage your traffic quota, and maintain service quality.
- Task rewards — track completion of daily tasks (video, check-in, share, invite) to award free traffic.
- Invite system — verify invite codes and distribute rewards to both inviter and invitee.
- Service improvement — analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve server performance and app stability.
- Support — respond to feedback and resolve technical issues.
3. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256.
- VPN traffic is encrypted end-to-end using the WireGuard protocol.
- We retain connection metadata for a maximum of 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
- Email addresses are stored with encryption and used solely for invite reward verification.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Rewarded video ads — third-party ad networks may collect device advertising IDs when you voluntarily watch rewarded videos. This is the only scenario where third-party tracking may occur, and it only happens when you initiate the action.
We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking pixels that monitor your behavior outside the app.
5. Your Rights
- Access — you can view your UUID, email status, and invite statistics in the Profile page.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at @Sorenavpn on Telegram.
- Opt-out — you are not required to bind your email or watch rewarded videos. All data collection beyond the basic UUID is optional.
6. Children's Privacy
Sorena VPN is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
